    For those considering a vegan lifestyle cuz you're a compassionate being but not really knowing where to start.. I've got you covered.. You don't really know what you can eat now that you've ditched meat and dairy.. It can be quite confusing and intimidating even for those who didn't really care about what they were putting into their bodies prior to going vegan.. If you're indian..you already eat a plant centered diet..so it's dairy for us.. So if you , you the Indian , don't wanna support the cruel dairy industry..but still wanna avoid burning a hole in your pocket.. you can start with a simple meal plan.. a low budget but highly nutritious meal plan... Gather every dish you consider healthy..and then ..well... we'll get to that in a while.. But first let's talk about two essential nutrients.. vit b12 and d3 ... If you don't get out in the sun for atleast 25-30 mins 3-4 times a week.. you're doomed to suffer from d3 deficiency...even CARNIVORES (humans ofc) struggle to meet their vit d requirements from food alone.. they can hardly hit 15 percent.. so.. you should either supplement every once a week or step out in the sun a bit more often.. Now comes b12 ... You can either take shots (that's what I do..like every alternate month) or take a pill once a week .. and this is natural and safe..but be careful with fat soluble vitamins like vit D ...so it would be better if you talked to your doc before taking vit d (as they'll give you adequate dosage..) ... B12 is totally safe tho.. Or you can take axbex or zincovit (multivitamin..) .. pop in a multi and you're set for the day.. this is especially important for pre-meds (or students) like me ...busy people ... Here goes the food.. this is what works for our household ..cuz these are our staples.. Protein sources- Chickpeas Soy chunks (this is cheap and healthy..and has anti cancer properties..well anything soy has anti cancer properties except for soy bean oil) Soy bean/tofu. Beans like kidney beans or mung bean Lentils (a mix of lentils) Quinoa (quinoa is cheap.. and very healthy..) Amaranth (i buy muesli from peepal farm) Millets (Indians love millet..these are not particularly high in protein but they're amazing) Chia seeds (not just protein but amazing fats as well...but be sure to soak em) Flax seeds (these are literally superfoods..) Green peas Hemp seeds (we don't use it but they're really good) Tempeh (i don't have access to these but again ... they're so good) Legumes or Pulses in general are so good for you.. Nuts and seeds (amazing protein and fats .) Greens - Cabbage/cauliflower/brocoli/Brussel sprouts (if available) Leafy greens like spinach or kale Beet root Carrots Cucumber Amla (it's a fruit but they're the best. Period) Bell pepper 🫑 Bitter gourd And the list goes on and on.. Be sure to eat regional vegetabls cuz India is pretty diverse ...so eat your greens..and go local ... Peanut butter (peepal farm) Try to incorporate more colour into your food ....or maybe give permaculture ... Or give permaculture a shot if you have the time..and space.. Dishes i eat.. Dosa (this is my fave ) Lentil curry with rice Rajma chawal Idli sambhar Indian version of chilli (that has chickpeas , rajma , ground soy chunks , carrots , bell pepper, 🍅 tomatoes, etc) Yellow pea chat Litti chokha Soy bean biryani Soy bean ki sabzi (i eat lil to no oil) Chana masala (chickpea curry) Oat porridge with apples and bananas and chia seed on top Indian version of chilli (that has soy chunks , Pinto beans or white rajma , chickpeas , bell pepper 🫑, carrots , onion and garlic 🧄, indian spices, some soy sauce, tomato puree..and a bunch of other healthy ingredient..this can double as bhaji for pav bhaji) Quinoa oat cinnamon banana porridge without any milk.. you could add some chia or nuts of your choice.. Black mung daal seasoned with salt South Indian style besan tofu sauted in curry leaves and mustard seeds with sauce.. Chola chana chaat with aloo ki tikki .. (we make it bland cuz we like it bland..) Flax seed and jaggery dumplings Red lentil uttapam Yellow pea chat (Quinoa+daliya+millet+rice) mung bean khichdi with added veggies Daal Dhokla Pakal tofu paneer Mushroom biryani Oat dense chocolate fudge cake (dessert 😁) Mix veg soy bean sabzi (quite runny....pretty similar to a soup.. but very tasty.. i like bland stuff ) High protein muesli ... Tofu scramble (we eat homemade tofu.. ) Whole mung daal with lime juice squeezed on top and some diced onion..(with roti) Quinoa raita with (peanuts+cabbage+carrot+apples) and other temperings .. we use soy yogurt the one prepared at home...from scratch..cuz i don't use store bought food items / convenient foods into my body..unless I'm starving These were the dishes i grew up eating.. so it can be different for you.. so prepare a chart of essentials.. I make sure that i eat atleast two servings of protein rich dish (any two.. like it can be chana masala in the morning and khichdi for lunch or dinner)

    First of all congratulations for adopting an indie puppy. I keep watching dog videos and in the process stumbled upon your video though it is 3 year old video. I am a dog lover and always had dogs in our family until a few years back. The pain of separation discouraged me from owning one when my last dog ran away from the pet clinic where me and my late father had taken him for treatment. We searched for him at all possible places but never got him back. Another reason for not keeping dogs any more is the death of my parents who had all along been helping me to take care of the dogs. I found your video lovely. It would have been more interesting for your viewers had you shared the age of shadow at the time of adoption, for how long she remained in her foster mother's house, from where shadow was adopted, what happened to her other siblings, you are from which city, etc. etc. Maybe I find answers to my questions when I watch your old videos following the adoption of shadow. Hope the old videos would be a treat to eyes, what roles your husband played in Shadow's life, so on and so forth. God bless you.

    Instead of destroying the child's life with our own inabilities and mental instabilities it's better to be childless. Its a blessing to be able to have a child but not at the cost of their mental health and happiness. Also it's the personal choice of a couple. Bringing a human life into this world is no joke (regardless of what our parents say)

    You married only?? Whats the purpose of your life if not going to have children??Who will look after you when you become an old lady??

    • @q41n4r
      @q41n4r 6 днів тому

      the purpose of her life is to live it the way she wants to. she can take care of herself when she’s older or her spouse can take care of her. it’s extremely irresponsible to birth a whole entire conscious being simply for the selfish want of having someone to take care of you when you’re older. the earth (and india in particular) are already extremely overpopulated. there’s absolutely no need for everyone to have children.

    • @NayanaPremnath
      @NayanaPremnath 6 днів тому

      The purpose of my LIFE isn’t to PUSH out a couple of kids and looking after them. I have many other purpose for my life. And kids don’t seem much of a purpose to me, personally.

    • @NayanaPremnath
      @NayanaPremnath 6 днів тому

      Also, I don’t NEED kids to look after me. And THAT is the MOST SELFISH reason to have kids in the first place. As your retirement plans. I hate that as a reason. I’d be much wealthier without kids and can pay for my own retirement instead of depending on kids.

The govt is also targeting Hindus to get the support of anti Hindus in the name of secularism and most of young Hindus are acting like Atheists to look cool.

    So these brands should be avoided.Recycled plastic are one with high BPA and also more toxic.Instead of recyling plastic concerned authorities should collect store and send all the plastics to some other planet(of course without life) in space like Elon Musk's space tourism business projects 😁..

    • @NayanaPremnath

      Can you show me a research paper that says that recycled plastic has more BPA and is TOXIC? Recycled PLASTIC isn’t being used for making food containers or so. It’s being used for making packaging. That too flexible packing. So how is it causing toxicity to us?

    • @Rockey_VR
      @Rockey_VR 16 днів тому

      @@NayanaPremnathNo I didn't get that information citing Research papers.I happen to read some one's opinion online.I believe that bcz of one more reason.All E commerce companies companies mostly using recycled cardbord boxes. I also got some recycled paper bags too couple of times.I was very much irritated with the smell of those recycled items. No body may not be using reusable plastics in containers but chances are that some sell food/body items in reusable plastic packages..Those mentioned companies are selling food and body products.. Otherwise no issues..

So I wrote this to actually dumb it down for people ..cuz it can be hard especially when you grew up eating chicken soup or in my case , haldi doodh (turmeric milk) as Medicine.. whenever i fell sick..mommy brought a cup of milk with turmeric and slowly fed me while my head rested on her lap.. placebo effect kicked in to make the healing process alot easier..mommy is a doctor but still fed me what she was fed as a child..so it is sometimes an emotional connection and not just mere pleasure.. it's time you spent with people who cared for you.. (and i know mommy can risk her life for me..cuz she has many time before) And i can understand that it can be way worse for people cuz their mother/grandma/a loved one brought chicken soup.. The connection gets stronger as you grow older.. I'm 17 now.. and i still subconsciously feel like turmeric milk could help me (cuz mum continues to be her usual self and still brings turmeric milk to comfort me.) So i drink soy milk with turmeric.. Trust me.. i hated the taste of milk as much as the next person cuz it stinks but at times when i wasn't well... This would comfort me with a hug from my mum.. So for me turmeric milk = mum's hug + medicine+ an assurance that I will be fine This came to my rescue.. But now when i see milk ..i see cows getting slaughtered for filtered blood..

    Free up charging too much money from seller as well as buyer

    • @NayanaPremnath
      @NayanaPremnath 23 дні тому

      Shipping isn’t free in India.. is it? And it isn’t always fair to charge an exorbitant amount from the buyer alone. I have been buying from Freeup and haven’t felt that paying some amount as a seller or buyer is a problem. We think this way because of seeing everything being sold with free delivery by Amazon and Myntra and all. Ask the sellers how much % of their price Amazon or Myntra takes. You’ll be surprised to hear the high %. Here Freeup is only taking a very small % of your price, and hence asking you to share the shipping cost doesn’t seem like such a big deal.
